Starting Reception in September 2026

We are really looking forward to welcoming your child to St Andrew's. Our anticipated timetable for September is as follows:

Tuesday 1^st and Wednesday 2^nd September are staff training days and so the school is closed for all children. 

Thursday 3^rd September

The children will come in for an hour and 15 minutes either 9am-10.15 or 10.45-12pm. Groups will be sorted once complete class lists are confirmed.

Friday 4^th September

All children will come in for the morning 8.45am-12pm.

Monday 7^th September

All children will come in for the morning and stay for lunch 8.45am-1pm.

From Tuesday 8^th September all of the children will be in full time 8.45am - 3.15pm. 

These details will be confirmed in a letter sent out later this term. 

Welcome to Reception

We believe that the Reception year is vital for securing the foundations for life-long learning. We aim to equip our children with the skills and knowledge needed to become independent, resilient and enthusiastic learners through a growth mind-set approach. We look forward to working with you and your child.

Also working in Reception:  Mrs Gill, Mrs O (Ogilvie), Mrs Hones, Mrs Robinson and Mrs Fox
